Dr. Nomaan Mufti

Session on Entrepreneurship

April 2, 2026 – Dr. Nomaan Mufti

On April 2, 2026, the second session of ULEFUSA’s Touchstone on Campus series was held at UET Lahore’s Main Auditorium, engaging over 200 students alongside faculty and representatives from the Technology Incubation Center. The session featured Dr. Nomaan Mufti, who led a focused discussion on entrepreneurship from an engineering lens as part of the university’s formal coursework.

Drawing on his experience with Industrial Partnership Projects (IPP-US) and the New Venture Contest (NVC), Dr. Mufti emphasized structured pathways for translating ideas into viable ventures. He highlighted how mentorship, competitive platforms, and access to capital enable early-stage innovation to mature into scalable solutions.

The discussion grounded entrepreneurship in practical opportunity spaces, including e-mobility through his venture Hyder, water purification, AI-enabled engineering services, and localized product innovation. The emphasis remained on solving real-world problems, understanding market needs, and executing across the full lifecycle from ideation to commercialization.

An interactive dialogue allowed students to engage on critical topics such as pricing, market research, customer alignment, startup capital, and managing academic commitments alongside entrepreneurial pursuits. The session reinforced ULEFUSA’s broader objective of converting exposure into capability, equipping students with the clarity and frameworks needed to pursue high-impact, market-relevant ventures.
