ULEFUSA is your bridge from the classrooms of UET to the frontiers of global technology. We provide the opportunities, the mentorship, and the infrastructure to help you excel, wherever you are in the world.
Through ULEFUSA initiatives, students gain access to global knowledge, industry mentorship, and real-world opportunities that extend beyond traditional classroom learning.
National AI Training Program & Hackathon in partnership with Pak Angels, Aspire, HEC and NCEAC. All costs are borne by ULEFUSA. Next Start Date: March 29, 2026
Learn from the life stories of accomplished alumni. Gain insight into their journeys, challenges, and the pivotal decisions that shaped their success
Knowledge sharing session with accomplished alumni from different industries. This is not a traditional lecture series, but a two-way exchange of information.
ULEFUSA creates structured pathways that help students transition from academic learning to real-world professional success.
Stop watching tutorials and start building. We host intensive, cohort-based programs in emerging technologies like Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Cloud Architecture, focusing on hands-on deployment rather than just theory.
We facilitate specialized training in Communications, Freelance Management, and Workplace Etiquette to ensure you convey your value as effectively as you develop an engineering breakthrough.
Why apply through a portal when you can walk through the front door? We leverage our massive alumni network to place UET’s top talent into high-growth roles in Pakistan and across the globe.
Skip the trial and error. Get 1-on-1 guidance from seniors who walked these same halls and are now dominating the global tech market.

The Generative AI Program provided the technical foundation and competitive platform that accelerated my transition from a national Hackathon finalist to a global freelancer collaborating with international researchers. I am deeply grateful to ULEF, Pak Angels, and their partners for providing the mentorship and emerging technology access necessary to bridge the gap between local talent and global opportunities.

As part of the Generative AI training program sponsored by ULEFUSA, I developed an AI-powered misinformation detection system capable of analyzing text, images, and video within a unified framework. The system integrated a transformer-based NLP model (DeBERTa) for fake news classification, along with CNN architectures (Xception, EfficientNetB7) for image and deepfake video detection.
The implementation involved building modular pipelines, including preprocessing, tokenization, frame extraction, and model inference, with deployment through a Streamlit interface on Hugging Face Spaces.
This experience shifted my focus from individual models to system-level thinking, where integration, performance, and real-time usability are equally important in solving complex problems.

I participated in the Generative AI training program and hackathon sponsored by ULEFUSA, where I developed an AI-based mental wellness companion. The system was built using a full retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipeline, including document loading, chunking, embedding, and retrieval-based question answering.
Our stack included Python, Streamlit for deployment, LangChain for orchestration, and Groq for LLM inference using LLaMA3-70B, with Chroma as the vector database and Hugging Face embeddings for semantic search.
We also used Google Colab for prototyping and explored deployment workflows via Hugging Face. The experience shifted our focus from isolated models to building complete, end-to-end systems.
