Engr. Waqas Khan is a technology leader and entrepreneur with decades of experience across semiconductor engineering, enterprise systems, and early-stage venture building.

His career spans both deep technical roles and leadership positions, with a consistent focus on building and scaling products, teams, and organizations. He began his career in engineering and product development within the semiconductor industry, later moving into leadership roles that combined technology, business strategy, and market development. Over time, he has founded and led multiple ventures across software, financial systems, and digital platforms, contributing to the development of solutions in areas ranging from transaction processing to enterprise applications. Alongside his corporate and entrepreneurial work, he has remained closely connected to institutional and community-building efforts, playing a key role in bringing together alumni, industry leaders, and stakeholders around a shared vision for advancing engineering education. As Founding Chairman of ULEFUSA, he leads the foundation’s strategic direction, shaping its focus on long-term sustainability, structured execution, and the development of initiatives aimed at strengthening UET Lahore’s academic and technological capabilities.

Dr. Nomaan Mufti

Dr. Noman Mufti is an academic and technology professional with extensive experience spanning telecommunications systems, network engineering, and talent development.

His work bridges industry and academia, combining practical experience in large-scale network infrastructure with a focus on teaching and research. Over the course of his career, he has worked on the design, deployment, and optimization of wireless communication systems, including next-generation network technologies. His industry experience includes involvement in complex telecom environments, contributing to the evolution of modern mobile and data networks. Alongside his technical work, he has remained actively engaged in education, contributing to the development of engineering talent through teaching and mentorship. His recent work has also focused on connecting organizations with skilled technical professionals, reflecting an understanding of the growing gap between talent supply and industry demand. As Founding Secretary of ULEFUSA, he brings a combination of academic perspective and industry experience, contributing to the organization’s efforts to strengthen engineering education and align it with evolving global technology systems.

Engr. Mohammad S. Malik

Engr. Mohammad S. Malik is an engineer and entrepreneur whose career spans more than three decades across infrastructure, power generation, aviation, and technology.

Following postgraduate studies in structural engineering, he held senior engineering and leadership roles within large-scale corporate environments. Over time, his work expanded from engineering execution to organizational development, with a focus on improving efficiency, strengthening systems, and enabling institutional change. This transition led to the establishment of a technology enterprise focused on human capital development, executive coaching, and learning platforms designed to improve organizational performance. Through this work, he has supported both commercial and public sector institutions in areas such as leadership development, conflict resolution, and workforce capability building, combining technical rigor with a focus on human systems. As a founding member of ULEFUSA, he brings long-term perspective and stewardship, contributing to the organization’s efforts to build structured, sustainable support systems for engineering education.

Engr. Imran Akram is an entrepreneur and technology executive with over two decades of experience delivering enterprise and mission-critical systems across federal and commercial environments.

Over the course of his career, he has been closely involved in building and scaling an IT services organization focused on delivering reliable, large-scale technology solutions to government institutions and major enterprises. His work has included leading organizational growth, strengthening operational systems, and overseeing the delivery of complex, high-dependency platforms. His experience spans strategy, operations, and execution, with a consistent focus on building systems that perform under demanding conditions. At ULEFUSA, he brings a practical, execution-driven perspective shaped by years of delivering technology solutions in structured, high-accountability environments, contributing to initiatives that require scale, reliability, and long-term sustainability.

His work has focused on taking complex technology products from conception to global deployment, with an emphasis on aligning product strategy with customer needs and business outcomes. Over the course of his career, he has led cross-functional teams across product management, engineering, and go-to-market functions, contributing to the development and scaling of enterprise platforms in areas such as cloud infrastructure and services. A significant part of his work has centered on customer engagement and adoption, including building feedback-driven product systems and strengthening relationships between product teams and end users. He has also been recognized for driving customer-focused initiatives that improve product usability, adoption, and long-term value, reflecting a consistent focus on translating technical capability into practical outcomes.

Engr. M. Anwar Khan

Engr. Anwar Khan is a technology entrepreneur and payments industry veteran with over three decades of experience in building and scaling digital commerce and financial infrastructure systems globally.

His career spans the evolution of modern payments, from early card-based systems to internet commerce and, more recently, mobile and contactless payment technologies. He has played a key role in advancing the adoption of digital wallets and NFC-based payments, contributing to the development and global deployment of contactless payment infrastructure.
As a founder and operator, he has led initiatives that enabled large-scale adoption of mobile payments across multiple markets, including the deployment of over a million contactless payment terminals worldwide. His work has focused on creating seamless, secure, and integrated commerce experiences across physical and digital environments.
In recent years, Engr. Anwar has also been actively engaged in advancing generative AI adoption, working with professionals, startups, and students to build capacity in emerging technologies.
At ULEFUSA, he brings a combination of industry foresight and execution experience, contributing to initiatives that aim to align engineering education with evolving global technology systems.

He has led enterprise transformation initiatives for organizations across industries by aligning business strategy, processes, and technology. With decades of leadership experience, he has built and scaled globally distributed teams delivering high-performance solutions in areas such as business process management, business intelligence, and large-scale IT systems. His work focuses on enabling organizations to operate more effectively through structured, technology-driven transformation. Engr. Kewan began his career developing enterprise applications and specialized engineering systems, and has since evolved into a leader known for building organizations, mentoring teams, and driving long-term value creation.
